no or distorted sound from iphone speaker

Hey, sorry to hear the speaker on your iPhone isn't working.

Just out of curiosity, if you make a call, is the speaker icon greyed out?

Can you make a voice memo recording and play it back. Is the playback distorted or no sound?

Same if you recording a video and play it back?

If you plug headphones into the iPhone, can you hear the sound clearly?

Do you have any bulky cases on the iPhone?

If it's consistently silent or distorted, contact Apple to have it checked out for sure.
