constant popping during playback??

I've been recording on logic for years with my old macbook but for some reason now that I have upgraded to the 15" 2016 every time I try to record vocals and play it back the audio is filled with a constant and very quick popping, almost like a fast metronome over the track. I've tried changing the cable connecting the audio interface with no luck and the whole set still works fine with my old laptop. Please help I don't know what else to try.

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.13

To me this may be a latency related issue... You may try to increase it to see if it works better!

Also, are your audio card drivers updated?

EDIT: Logic Pro X -> Preferences -> Audio -> Recording Delay

Increase this value a bit and see if it works better, i hope so!
