I have an Imac Late 2009 running the Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 operating system and cant seem to to mojave???

I have an iMac late 2009 running the Yosemite version 10.10.5 operating system and I'm trying to upgrade to Mojave. I just can't seem to download the new system. What gives? Thanks for your help!!

Correct, as Mojave requires a 2012 or newer model.
