I have a 2014 Macbook Pro 15" that I use daily for non intensive tasks. It routinely heats up to over 200 degrees Fahrenheit. I suspect this is due to ICloud drive and the Bird process because that seems to be what is using all my CPU activity when this happens. Short of turning off Icloud upload is there any way to manage this issue?

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
for thermal management.

Thanks. I do that periodically to get the battery to charge but I’ll try it today and see how the heating goes.
