phone number wont show up on imessage on mac

When I log into iMessage on my MacBook my phone number doesn't show up as an option.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14

Messages not recognizing phone number on iMac and iPad Usually I can read texts on all my apple devices. As of yesterday iMessage does not recognize my phone number on the iPad or iMac. I do not have the option, it seems, to enter my phone number in iMessage. I don't get messages shared across devices any longer. I have not adjusted any settings but wonder if something may have been updated that I don't know about.. Any help appreciated. THANK YOU

iMessage settings for cellphone number How do set it where Texts can be reached by a cell phone number? it only allows to be reached by email. On my phone is fine. Just can't remember where in your settings you go to on the mac to set it where it shows your phone number. I am sure this is a pretty easy fix that comes up alot. Thanks sam [Edited by Moderator]

Have you added the phone number to your Apple ID? Then try signing out of Messages/FaceTime and back in. Also make sure the number is set in FaceTime.
