Is there any problem if I erase all the data that I've backed up before upgrading my macOS?

I've updated MacOS nearly 4 days ago and everything is working fine on new OS now. But I can't use the remaining storage of the SSD for my use. So I decided to erase the back up and use that SSD as a portable one like I will edit videos while connecting the SSD in my Mac. Is there any problem if I erase all the data that I've backed up on time machine before upgrading my macOS?
