Astrophotography with iPhone 15 Pro

I am an amateur astronomer who sometimes takes photos through a 6" or 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Occasionally I get lucky and get a good picture of a comet or the moon, but planets are more difficult to photograph. I hand-hold my iPhone 15 Pro over the lens of the telescope and take a picture. The problem is that there are three lenses on the iPhone 15 Pro and it switches between lenses like it is confused which one to use. It is very awkward and not efficient at all. Is there any way to overcome this issue other than getting a different phone?
