OS26 horrors. Upgrade to 17, replace battery or move on to other brands.

My ip14pro was still working ok (battery showed 78%) even after OS26 update, i even went japan skiing and the phone was lasting a day in 3degree weather and snow. Only problems were buggy bluetooth and noticeable lags. After OS26.2 update (battery health dropped to 73%), it is a complete nightmare, bluetooth remains buggy (across ipadpro as well, restarted devices 3 times do far to solve bluetooth issues), it is very laggy now, and the battery drain is crazy…can barely last half a day. Ive been using iphones since 2009, ive never had to ask anything in community….but is it just better to upgrade to 17pro (im not keen to, its awfully expensive and doesnt really value-add to me in anyway. ) Or should i just replace the battery on my ip14pro. My key concern is , if guys with newer phones are facing such drains…battery change is just stopgap. I am also considering moving on to other brands, Apple has been great, but the trajectory they have for us (customers) is not getting prettier.
