Thank you! At Network, Other Services no Thunderbolt services, only USB 10/100. I have power at Thunderbolt 1 and a Powlaken multi connected at T2, with an HDMI connected to view an additional display. That display is no longer recognized. At Hardware, Thunderbolt bus says no device connected.

Appreciate advice! I know enough to be dangerous, but not about Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt is a local peripheral interface, it is generally not a Network connection, except when you choose to connect two smart Thunderbolt devices. There are devices with special hardware and software that can turn an ordinary dongle into a network one, such as a 10/100 Ethernet dongle that plugs into a USB-C or ThunderBolt port. most of these are USB-C, because that runs fast enough without the additional overhead for high speed Thunderbolt.

The ports on a Mac can be used for many purposes. Mac ports will selectively be shown as either USB-C (FAR more common) or ThunderBolt, depending on what is connected to them. Unless/until you connect a genuine Thunderbolt device, none will be shown as Thunderbolt.

Exactly what make&model devices are you attempting to connect? What happens when you try?

I searched for Powlaken Thunderbolt hub/docks and could only discover USB hub/docks. I think you might be confusing Thunderbolt (protocol) and USB-C (a physical connector). Thunderbolt devices use USB-C physical connectors. So do USB devices. It is easy to confuse the two.
