Photos disappear after deleting a message thread with a potentially blocked contact

So I was talking to someone but I think they blocked me. I decided to delete the message thread but then u recovered it a few hours later. The photos they sent me that for some reason saved to my photo gallery are gone now. Is that because I got blocked or because I deleted the thread.even the photos I sent won’t show up on the in shared part of the messages
