Turn off security for moving files within my MacBook Air.

How do I turn off having to put in password every time I move files on my MacBook Air. Finder asks for the password for every change I make, whether I'm moving a file, renaming it, etc.

Were these files created on this MBAir by your user account? Or on some other computer or by some other user account?

Select one of the problem files, then do GetInfo (CMD-I). In the resulting pane, scroll down to "Sharing and Permissions." What does it say?
