I lost my Airpods pro gen 2 case without earbuds in it. I tried to locate it in find my app and it's not beeping (play sound is not working). Find nearby is asking to try a different location even when i am in the area where the directions have taken me. It's likely that my case is discharged. Any idea on how i can still locate it?
Sadly if the case is dead you’re kind of stuck with whatever its last known location was. The case won’t broadcast anything once the battery is flat, so Play Sound and Find Nearby won’t kick in. Best bet is to physically retrace wherever that last pin is pointing and hope it turns up.

Check with the lost and found or security desks in any buildings you may have it. It's possible you'll get lucky. However, realistically, the case is gone.
