How to close my account due to hacking

How do I close my account? It keeps getting hacked and I don't want to have to keep resetting the password. I barely use it and want to just be rid of the hassle

For information about how to delete an Apple Account (formerly “Apple ID”), read this support article —> How to delete your Apple Account - Apple Support

Carefully and thoroughly read that article for information about what happens when you delete your Apple Account. It explains more fully what the consequences may be than a simple set of steps as posted in the reply by azaksalmarzur28 (it is always better to double check what Apple actually tells you to do than simply perform something posted on a user support forum). For example:

"Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple Account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can’t sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted."

Go to:

(Apple Data & Privacy Portal)

  1. Sign in with the Apple ID you want to delete
  2. Choose Request to delete your account
  3. Apple will warn you what will be lost
  4. Choose a reason (you can select Other)
  5. Apple will give you:
    • A confirmation code
    • A timeline (usually up to 7 days)
    • Instructions to stop using the Apple ID during the process

Your account will be permanently deleted after verification.
