How to fix slow Finder performance in third-party apps on Mac?

Finder works slow in third-party apps, but it works fast by itself.

Few days ago tried to delete Cache folder, maybe problem in this? Therefore, the second question is how to restore the folder or can it be forcibly deleted somehow, because you can't do it manually, because Apple files are there.

I have MacBook Pro M4, MacOS Tahoe 26.1.

That's not the Finder, even though it looks like it. The technical name for it is the "powerbox", but few people outside Apple know that.

You deleted the files that are designed to improve performance? That could be the problem.

Try restarting in Safe Mode: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

You don't have to use the computer in Safe Mode. It just deletes various system caches and resets the system - properly. Then, when you restart normally, it will rebuild all of those caches. It may still be slow for a bit afterwards. But once the caches get rebuilt, it should run normally.

Don't run any more commands you find on the internet.

What does that mean how is Finder interacting with a third party app?

What app?

What are you doing exactly with the Finder that is not working?

You can relaunch the Finder on the fly and compare your results...

>Force Quit>Finder>Relaunch

Have you shut down and restarted the mac?

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

*** (if you are using a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries— connect the charging cable, this will make the wired keyboard successful Safe Boot your Mac.)

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS

Telegram is third party....—if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support

you can try moving your select file to the Desktop and try uploading from there...

You can try reducing the size of the file to upload if there is some limit w/ your third party app...

(?) Safeboot is a test environment explained above

certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Sorry, you just got some bad advice from a user that does nothing but post AI results from your question and will never follow up with a solution.

Report back what the results were from the very knowledgeable leroydouglas and the answers to the questions asked. You can also post the free EtreCheck report to identify processes that may be consuming CPU cycles that are slowing your computer down. The report contains no personal information.

Here's what happens: Let's say I log into Telegram app or anything else and want to attach a file, wait a long time for a response, then the Finder starts and waits again for the files to load, then I want to select a folder and wait a long time for a response from the Finder. And so it is in any application where you need to attach or open files from the Finder. By itself, as a separate addition, it works quickly.

And what i need to do in the Safety mode?

I do not have any anti-viruses and etc.
