Apogee One Microphone suddenly not working with GarageBand app upgrade to 2.3.18

My 16 iPhone Pro Max automatically updated its GarageBand app to version 2.3.18. Suddenly my Apogee One microphone (which I’ve used for 7 years) has stopped working and is not recognized. GarageBand only uses the phone’s microphone (yet the monitor feature works as I can hear it through my headphones which connect to the Apogee One). It’s obviously connected, but the new software update has broken the input/microphone feature.

As a test to make sure it wasn’t my hardware, I connected it to my iPad Pro which still has GarageBand 2.3.17 and it works perfectly. The microphone inputs and the monitor plays back in the headphones. It’s the new software update that is the cause.

The settings for the app are exactly the same on both my iPhone and iPad Pro. The only thing that changed was the software update.

I hope this latest version doesn’t get updated on my iPad or I won’t be able to use it to record my next podcast episode. Any ideas would be welcomed. Thanks.
