System data is filling up 165 GB of space

I have a MacBook Air (M2, 2022) with a 256GB SSD (but disk utility registers the disk as 245.11 GB). I have only 17 GB available on my disk, as shown in the screenshot. System data is taking up 165 GB. How do I make it so there is less system data?
