MacBook Pro 13" i7 Crashed Constantly; I FOUND THE ANSWER.

MacBook Pro 13" i7 Crashed Constantly, and here is the answer: It is the background processes for Microsoft Corporation. It took me three years to figure it out, don't ask me why.

    • As soon as I downloaded Microsoft Corporation apps, the crashes started, up to 12 times a day.
    • I always updated my MacBook Pro 13" i7 to the latest software; it makes no difference.
    • I tried "Safe Mode"; it did not solve the issue.
    • My MacBook Pro 13" i7 sounded like an airplane that never landed, and kept hot.
    • I disabled the background processes for the Microsoft Corporation, and THE CRASHES STOPPED PERMANENTLY, IMMEDIATELY.
    • I re-enabled these, and the crashes came back immediately, within seconds, repeatedly.
    • I disabled them again. Problem solved. Has never had another crash.

I do everything on my MacBook Pro 13" i7: Study at home, work from home, code, play, read, and research from my MacBook Pro daily. So this was a pain. Here is the solution:

    1. Open your "Settings" app.
    2. Click "General".
    3. Click "Login Items & Extensions", it is the eighth item listed under "General".
    4. Disable "Microsoft AutoUpdate" and "Microsoft Corporation".

I find it very distressing that you have that many login Items and extensions. I have NONE.

Consider downloading and running this little "discovery" utility, Etrecheck. It changes NOTHING. Etrecheck was developed by a senior contributor here, and uses mostly system calls and simple tests to collect often-needed information.

it contains little tests for speeds of devices, CPU utilization, memory usage, energy usage and a digest of recent problems, in one easy to use package. it does not even need to be Installed. Because less can be learned when your Mac is running great, best time to run is when your problems are actually occurring, if possible.

if you follow the directions faithfully, its report (pre-laundered of all personally-identifiable information) can be "Shared" to the System ClipBoard, then Pasted into an ‘Additional Text’ window in a reply on the forums.

Use Etrecheck Pro for free:

http://Etrecheck.com

The amount of data you get can be daunting. If you POST your report, some Readers here are willing to look over those reports, and can provide valuable insights.

then start a reply on the forums, Click the "additional text" icon, and PASTE
