my AirPods were connected well they got misplaced and somehow they just automatically went off my find my why is that

Your AirPods disappeared from Find My because they were offline, uncharged, or reset by someone, OR due to an iOS 26.1 bug. AirPods do not stay in Find My if they haven’t connected for a long time or if someone pairs them to a new device. To fix it: reconnect the AirPods, enable Find My Network, charge the case, and update iOS. If someone reset them, they cannot be recovered using Find My.
