Third party apps like Viber and other are prevented by Apple iOS 17 and up to access photo libraries regardless whatever is done in Settings?

It’s not right that Apple discussion forum closes third party inquiry for help. Since all these complains about many third party apps like Viber stop allowing access to iPad photo library noticeably after latest Apple iOS 17 upgrade. After this Apple doing many things are not working anymore including something simple to be able to use third party apps accessing the photo libraries. It’s not a problem w/ Viber, or other third party apps but it’s an Apple iOS problem that mess up with third party apps working.

so Apple seriously should look to improve the very broken and confusing for their users iOS 17 and later, period.

Apple make the OS. Third party developers adapt and update their apps to the OS, not the other way around.

And no. Apple developers are not here. As explained in the terms of use you agreed to when you signed up, you’re not talking to Apple here. The people responding are Apple users like yourself. That's what this forum is - users reaching out for assistance, assistance being given by other Apple users

It’s Apple iOS 26 & up glitch that prevented Viber and other reported third party most used apps to be not able to access the photo library on iPad Air 5 and other models. Only after iOS 26 upgrade this happened, not after third party upgrade. Looking forward for Apple developers to take a charge and correct this third party app malfunction not caused by them, period. Regardless of all iPad Air 5 Settings changes nothing works to correct the photo library access problem. Apple developers are you there? We do not need replies what we just got by someone else who is out of the game.

There is no Apple here in these user to user technical forum.

IOS 17 was released in September 2023.

If applicable update to the newest ios version 26.1

Viber is NOT an Apple product, take your concern to the app developer or look at their help site.
