How do I fix frequent Apple Podcasts app freeze-ups on iPhone 17 Pro with iOS 26.1?

I have had my iPhone 17 Pro for about 6 weeks. I have iOS software version 26.1. I love the upgrades and new features of the system software. My only problem has been the Podcast app freezing up several times a day when I swipe down on the screen to go back to the library. If I wait a minute or two it starts to work again, but this is incredibly frustrating and counterproductive.

I hope someone out there has experienced this same problem and has some remedy. Thanks!
