Unable to create new folders in Finder after Tahoe update.

I recently updated my MacBook Air (A2337) to Tahoe, and now I am unable to create new folders in my MacBook. Every time I attempt to create new folders in iCloud or the MacBook itself, the option is grayed out. This has never happened to me before. What should I do?
