¿Are you running firmware version 17 in your display?
Consider giving your Apple Studio Display a Timeout:
Disconnect all power and data and have it sit by itself for a quarter hour.
Facing into the corner, or moving to the Naughty stair, are optional.
Reconnect and test.

Its fixed! Thanks! this mini and Studio Display has been on for month. its the first time it gets to rest without power for a bit :)
