After upgrading to iOS26.1, I'm experiencing a weird experience that old irrelevant reminders are coming back silently in Reminders app. Not sure if this issue has anything to do with this OS version or not. Any help would be appreciated! Please let me know if any info I should report here which is contextual.

If your Reminders were not stored on iCloud but on other email Accounts, please see the pic below and remove the irrelevant account in the iOS Mail app.
Thank you for the updates! Referring to iOS 26 in my original question was meant only to report the sequence of events. There was no intention to victimize iOS 26. I’d already written that I’m not sure whether OS update is related or not. Just wanted to clarify my intention!
