No. It means the Hosts changed it. Only they have the ability to do so. If you didn't ask them to change it, it was as Owl-53 points out, due to the fact that it was, for some reason, inappropriate.

When I started about 25 years ago, we could edit our usernames. Then abusive, name-morphing users lurking here caused havoc and cost us good helpers, so usernames changed to be editable only by the Mods on request to combat bad behavior.

Once again, a handful of sociopathic people unable to control their behavior cost the rest of us a freedom.

20 years ago + 2 months plus several days ago

My User Name on the ASC Forums matched my User Name in Apple Account

Some years ago, I made a Specific Request to the Moderation Team to have a newer ASC Forum Name

My Apple ID Account remained unchanged

More recently I again made the same request and here we are now 🦉-53

Again My Name in my Apple ID Account is still the Original from 20 + Year ago

So without a specific request put forth by you are on your behave

Your Apple Support Community user name would not have been changed, altered or modified conditional to Submission Point 7, earlier mentioned
