How do I sustain MIDI notes with the Piano Roll in Logic Pro for Mac?

On my MIDI keyboard connected to my Mac, there is a ”Sustain” button that, when pressed simultaneously with a key on the music keyboard, produces a sustained note. This functionality replicates the effect of pressing the pedal on a real piano.

However, it can be cumbersome to press this button with one finger while simultaneously playing on the keyboard. Therefore, I believed that there would be a checkbox in the Piano Roll editor of Logic Pro for Mac that allows users to toggle the ”Sustain” option for each note. How can I activate the ”Sustain” option after recording a MIDI track in Logic Pro for Mac?

Also, how do I see if a selected note in a MIDI track had the "Sustain" button pressed when it was recorded?
