I recently updated my 2017 Retina iMac to MacOS Ventura and was not able to open Final Cut Pro. I deleted FCP and wanted to redownload it from the App Store, as I read it would automatically downgrade the version to fit any older operating system. However, I kept getting the alert that I am unable to download it as it would require MacOS 15.6 and it did not give me the option to download an older version. What can I do?

Apple recently stopped offering older versions of FCP for download. If you don't have a TimeMachine or other backup, find someone in your area and copy the app. You could also ask on the FCP Reddit discussion but be careful -- don't trust just anyone and then accidentally install malware on your machine.
This is, unfortunately, the current state of affairs.
Sometime earlier this year, Apple stopped providing these older versions needed for older OS.
AFAICT, there is no solution unless you can find someone who has kept a copy of that old version and can share it with you.
