Apple Music issue with ios 18.7.2
Apple Music issue with ios 18.7.2
So, I installed 18.7.2 on my iPhone 16e and I’ve come across what appears to be a major problem with syncing my Apple Music Library.
When I opened iTunes on my Windows PC, it no longer recognises my iPhone and, after researching on line, this appears to be part of a planned migration from iTunes to Apple Music. So I downloaded the Apple Music App on to my PC and, sure enough, it imported all of my music files and these are now no longer visible in my iTunes library.
My problem then came when I synced my iPhone with Apple Music on my PC only to find that around 75% of my music files are showing on my iPhone App in gray and, when I attempt to play one, it comes up with “This item is not currently available in your country or region”….. The music files in my large library come from iTunes Store purchases and CD uploads. I can play everything on my PC but not on my iPhone. Given I have around 35k files of rare material in my iTunes Library, I am obviously very concerned.
Is this a known 18.7.2 glitch which Apple are investigating or do I have a different problem (e.g. with my iPhone Settings having changed)?
Any advice would be most welcome - I’m now seriously concerned that my unique music library built up over 20 years is now in some way seriously compromised…. Help!
