I registered an account on the Apple website for my relative. He is in retirement and cannot do this on his own. Registration was successful, I entered the login and password on the iPhone and entered this account. One day everything was fine. The next day, a message appeared in the iPhone settings, something like "some more services are asking for confirmation of your Apple Id, enter your password." I entered the password, and the message "Apple Id is not active" appeared. I submitted an application on the Apple website to restore access to my Apple Id. The next day, a letter came to my email from the support service that my account was blocked and I can’t use it anymore. No explanation, no reason! What the ****, Apple? Now I have an iPhone with my Apple Id in my hands, which is blocked and I can’t get out of it to register a new one! I can’t discard the password on the support site, since when entering my data, I get a message that this account is blocked and cannot be used more. The iPhone is not new, I was not bought in the store, I bought it for cash, I have no documents about its purchase. What should I do?

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 26

As you probably realize now, to unlock the phone (as explained in: How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support) you need either:

1) The account used to set it up, to which you no longer have access. Another post says this must be the "previous owner", but the contributor did not understand that you are the "previous owner" and the iPhone is locked to the account you created and is now permanently disabled, not to that of the person who sold you the phone.

or:

2) Have Apple reset the device which typically requires the original receipt from Apple or and Apple authorized retailer. You unfortunately also do not have that. This is a disadvantage of purchasing a used device where the seller has not provided the original receipt.

The people on this forum are users like yourself, not Apple, so we can't do anything about the account. According to various posts, Apple may permanently lock accounts for other reasons (very broadly outlined in section VII-B of Legal - iCloud - Apple but Apple won't be more specific than that. You, or your relative are likely doing something Apple is interpreting as account misuse. You will have to see if your activities could be construed—rightly or wrongly—as meeting any of Apple's conditions in the support article.
