How do I fix unsuccessful music synchronization from iPhone 16 Pro Max to Apple Watch?

I upgraded my iPhone to 16 pro max and it has been over 1 week where my music will not synch to I watch. Keeps spinning grey. I have unpaired, created new playlists, changed networks,ensured latest update and powered off. I am out of options. I am about to purchase an arm band for my phone so I can listen to music during runs. It should not be this complicated to synchronize music. Any suggestions?
