Working solution to hourly "DarkWake from Deep Idle [CDN] : due to EC.RTC/Maintenance"
Hi everyone,
Since there seem to be quite a few people concerned about their MacBook waking from sleep every single hour despite every related UI setting they can think of being turned off, and since I was desperately looking for a solution myself for weeks, while the solution was right here in this forum, yet nobody ever mentioned it (not even those who apparently knew about it!), I am creating this thread in order to spare some valuable time for anyone trying to get their Mac to actually sleep when they hit the Sleep button!
The solution is right here:
Basically, Apple implemented a feature called "CoreSmartPowerNap" in Sonoma that is not user accessible and this is set on by default and is not being turned off when the user turns "Power Nap" off.
Disabling this feature as described in the post above will make your Mac sleep like a baby until you manually wake it up!
You're welcome!
