How to change or reset a preferred route in Apple Maps

At the time that the "Preferred Route" feature debuted in Carplay's Apple Maps, my normal route to work was closed for long-term construction. As a result, Maps assumed that the construction detour I was forced to take for two months is my "Preferred Route" for my daily commute.

Now that construction is finished, I never want to take the detour route ever again, but Maps recommends it to me twice a day every day. How can I get Maps to stop recommending the detour as my "Preferred Route"? Is there some way to edit a preferred route, or to reset my daily travel data?
