iPhone Calendar not syncing with Google Calendar

Calendar is not syncing with my Google calendar. I reviewed previous answers to this question, and this path isn't available on my iPhone:Settings > Passwords & Accounts. I tried removing the Gmail app and reinstalling it, but the Gmail app remained in the cloud and wasn't completely uninstalled. Now what?
