green display( iPhone 14 pro max)

I recently got green screen issue on my 14 pro max. I restore it using iTunes but it doesn't work. As i research apple doesn't fix it without any payment but i didn't dropped it and there is not any kind of damaged done by me ..so its not my fault. This is my first apple device and i bought it so that i can use as long as i want. I trusted apple brand. if this issue is not solved. may this is last apple device in my whole family.

The following information may vary depending on the region you purchased your iPhone in.

Your iPhone generally comes with a one-year limited warranty (About the warranty coverage for your Apple device - Apple Support) covering defects for Apple-branded hardware and accessories. This means Apple will fix or replace products that have manufacturing issues, but it does not cover any accidental damage like drops, water damage, or normal wear and tear.

To be eligible for coverage, you must have a defect that arises during the one-year period and can provide proof of purchase. Generally speaking, you are void of any warranty claims if your iPhone shows physical damage, like cracks, bends, etc.

As the iPhone 14 Pro was released in 2022, I would think that your phone is no longer covered by Apple's warranty. AppleCare+ coverage may still apply.

You may check coverage using Apple's Website (checkcoverage.apple.com)

I hope I could be of help!

Hello~ Nothing lasts forever. Purchasing an AppleCare plan is the best way to help in situations like this one. Your iPhone model was released in 2022 and in “electronic “ years that’s getting on up there. I suggest taking it in to Apple for a checkup and then review your options from an informed standpoint…

By the way… a family friend had a green screen with their Android right out of the box. Just saying…

True, nothing last forever but according to its price at least it should last some years. Definitely I have to change battery as it degrades with time but other components should be reliable. I bought it in 2.5 years ago and it’s not worthy to say nothing last forever for such incident. People buy brand so that there will be less headache and can trust. i may be traveling or in the middle of something. By the way some brands are now giving free life time warranty on display with such issue and also I know many person who are using their 400$ 500$phone without any headache for years.

Anything can have a hardware failure when it comes to electronics. All you can do is schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and service options. I certainly haven't heard of any other cell phone manufacturer who is giving lifetime warranties on their phone displays. I did a Google Search and found not a single cell phone with a lifetime display warranty. None. Zip. Nadda. Zero. So nice try on that comment, but nope.

It’s not about where I live or what I do. My main concern is that companies should focus on addressing universal problems. Even Tesla has done this. I know OnePlus isn’t a Google phone, but I mentioned you might have forgotten to search for OnePlus on Google. Anyway, I don’t think I’ve been able to fully express my point of view. You may be right from your perspective, just as I am from mine. I shared my problem because I was hoping to find a solution, not to get into a debate. Thanks for your support.

A universal problem, is one which affects users universally. You have a phone with an issue. But your issue is NOT universal. I'm not debating you. And you suggested this may be your last iPhone if Apple doesn't take care of this for you. That's between you and Apple. This is a user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't participate. We can't do anything for you. Show it to Apple and see what they say. That's the solution.

nice try but you forget to google one plus.if they want they can also say after one year it’s your problem.I am not saying every brand should give such scheme but at least such issue should be addressed and solved by the company. Green display is not only my problem. If you search in you tube. It’s viral everywhere .In my knowing many people got it.

Hello once more~ I…on the other hand have an iPhone 12 mini that I bought in 2020. It is in pristine condition. It has been dropped, dunked and used without incident for 5 years. What more could I ask for in a device?? Also as long as I stay within terms here it’s reasonable for me to state as I see fit. I am only the messenger and Apple is the authority with the final say.

OK. So you must live in India? India, is evidently the ONLY country in the world with such a warranty. Hardly an example of "some brand(s)" which would imply there are others. It's one brand and limited to one country in the entire world.

Also, OnePlus is NOT a Google phone. OnePlus is owned by Oppo, which is a subsidiary of Guangdong OPlus Holdings.

If this is more important to you, perhaps this is the phone brand for you.
