Missing duplex printing option on MacBook Pro M2

I have a MacBookPro M2 Max with MacOs 15.6.1 (24G90). In my printing Dialog there is no option for duplex-Printing, although my Epson WF7720 can print duplex. With my old macbook under System 10.13 it worked well.

the printer driver control these things, and if it's a basic older driver epson deliveried to be bundled with the OS getting their latest could be the solution

How are you printing? AirPrint, or vendor drivers?

Make sure printer firmware FA12J4 (or whatever is most current) is loaded.

You’ll either need to use the firmware tool, or maybe the web interface, to update the firmware.

To access the printer web config, enter the printer IP network address in your web browser.

Epson printers might be wonderful, but their everything else — software and doc and websites — is rather less so.

Tree ways, and there are others…

If the printer has a front panel (this one apparently does) it’s usually included there in a configuration or maintenance menu on the printer, and can also be shown on a printer configuration page when the printer is requested to print that. (I’m having some difficulties locating details for what’s in that menu, and where.)

If you have set a printer host name in the printer settings (somewhere in the printer’s control panel, presumably), say, KatrinPrint, it’ll show up on the local network with the name KatrinPrinter.local, and that’ll work in Safari, too.

I usually get the printer MAC address from the same configuration details, add that as an IP address reservation from the local router DHCP settings, and fix the IP address. Or set and use the .local address.

The IP address and the local address can both be bookmarked.
