Fix for adding Matter accessories to HomeKit

Can't add a Matter accessory to HomeKit?

I just came across a fairly simple fix:

1: Create a new home.

2: Add the matter device to that new home.

3: Delete it from that new home.

4: Add it to your real / original home that you want to connect it to.

5: You're done. Now all your matter devices should add as themselves to your original home when scanned as intended.

I've heard horror stories of people rebuilding their entire Apple Home from scratch to fix this issue, which made me wonder if just adding it to a new home would trigger Matter into working somehow. It did for me. I hope it does for you.
