How do I change my Apple Account region without losing iCloud data?

I'm about to move and need to change the region on my account to ensure I can get some necessary apps etc when there. I currently have my whole life in a 2TB iCloud account and I'm worried I'll lose every thing during the change over... Am I stressing unnecessarily or are there things I need to do to avoid this?

You are right to be stressed. When you change country you start over with a different iCloud area. You will have to download your files to a computer (assuming you have more than can be accommodated on a device) and then subscribe to an iCloud upgrade when you have changed country settings.
