How to restore linking between left and right Klipsch T5 II headset buds?

I have a Klipsch T5 II headset system. It synched (linked) perfectly between left and right.

I have lost the linking ability. I can listen through the left or right but not both. Klipsch instructs to factory reset both buds and then press the button on each bud 5 times while in the charging case which i have done several times but i cannot get them to link. The charging case is charged. I'm not sure whether the problem is in the bluetooth service or in the Klipsch software
