Apple stole money out of my checking account.

I opted into a free 7 day trial on the 10th (via the website) I went, directly, back to the website on the 16th and cancelled. Screenshot and all. Next morning Apple took $139.99 out of my checking account. How did it even connect to my app subscriptions?! I submitted a refund request and was denied. I included the screenshot. I called and the supervisor was unwilling to assist. I understand t&c’s. I followed the proper steps. I didn’t forget. I cancelled accordingly. That was money for my phone bill. So upsetting.

If you subscribed via the app's website then you did not do this through Apple. Any charge you are seeing from Apple is unrelated to your subscription. Either that or the charge really isn't from Apple.

If you did subscribe through Apple (which you cannot have done through the App's web site) on the 10th and then canceled on the 16th, that's into the 6th or 7th day of the trial and you may have been too late to avoid the regular subscription charges. This support article explains how to cancel a subscription from Apple on an Apple mobile device, Mac, PC, and online (see the Android section) ➔ If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

Notes:

• If you don’t cancel trials more than 24 hours before your renewal date, your subscription might renew.

• Free trials will usually automatically turn into paid subscriptions unless you cancel in time.

We can understand your being upset but you will probably have to regard this as a learning experience. The people here are customers like yourself, not Apple, and cannot do anything about this, sorry.

Thank you for replying with your concerns, NortheastStar. 😉

We don’t have the power to look into accounts or make changes.

Unfortunately, you’ve reached the final stage.

Apple’s decision is final and no one can change their decision or alter the Refund policy.

According to Apple:

All Transactions are final.

Content prices may change at any time.

If technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay delivery of Content, your exclusive and sole remedy is either replacement of the Content or refund of the price paid, as determined by Apple.

From time to time, Apple may suspend or cancel payment or refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, abuse, or unlawful or other manipulative behavior that entitles Apple to a corresponding counterclaim.

Thank you! 👋🏼😉

  • What was the website you signed up for a free trial and cancelled on the website?
  • What was listed in your Purchase History where you requested the refund?
  • What it a debit card that was billed where you saw the deduction from your Bank Account?
  • If this was a debit card, is it listed in your Apple Account for payments, in the Wallet for Apple Pay, or something else.
  • You said you had an app subscription, so is this an app in the App Store?
  • If there was an app on the device, did you also choose a trial from there or agree to that free trial after downloading the app from the App Store?

Smilin-Brian is correct, they we cannot resolve the problem and don't have access to your account to see any information, just trying to understand what actually happened. I have never seen where a third party subscription from any website would be billed to your Apple Account, so not sure if I am missing something.
