Unknown Apple charge on my credit card

I had a 12.99 charge on my credit card from Apple. I checked my subscriptions and nothing? I even checked my purchase history, still nothing? How did this happen? Shouldn't something have showed up somewhere in my account to explain this charge?

Hello there,

An unexpected $12.99 Apple charge can happen even if nothing shows in your subscriptions or purchase history. This usually comes from a different Apple ID you’ve used, a Family Sharing member, or a renewal that hasn’t appeared yet.

The easiest way to see exactly what the charge was for is here: https://reportaproblem.apple.com

Sign in with your Apple ID and it will show every recent charge.

If nothing appears, it usually means the charge is linked to another Apple ID or someone else in your family group.

Best Regards.

Very, very confusing!! Turns out that a family member who signed up for Apple TV a long time ago, and pays for it, shares it with me. I am the Account organizer. I purchased a movie a month ago and wanted to share that movie with him. I went into my setting to allow sharing of the movie. Because I turned that button on, the charge for his Apple TV went on my credit card, even though the subscription is his! NUTS! I called Apple support and the technician finally figured it out. I had to go back into my settings and turn the sharing button off. Thinking there should be a more straight forward way to share a movie???
