Paint Shop Pro equivalent for Mac

I have a new to me Xeon. I have used Paint Shop Pro 6 for decades and like it. Is there anything similar for Mac?

There's many options.

There's of course Photoshop if you want to subscribe to Adobe's plan and the Mac Pro is running a recent enough version of macOS.

There is Affinity, Pixelmator, Gimp and several others depending on what you need from it.

Having come from Windows and many years of PSP myself (since it was made by Jasc before being acquired by Corel and many years using the Corel versions) Gimp works pretty well, once you get to know it. It's not exactly a 1 for 1 replacement for PSP and will take some getting used to, but over all it works pretty similarly to how PSP works, and best of all it's free.

The real question you will need to answer is what Mac Pro model / year or at least what macOS version it is running.

The current version of Gimp for instance requires macOS 11.
