Managing duplicate TV show seasons in Apple TV app

Hey Apple Community,

UK user here –

Bit of a library nightmare at the minute and hoping someone has a fix.

I bought Seasons 1, 2, and 3 of Everybody Loves Raymond individually when they were on sale over the last couple of years.

Recently, the full 9-season box set went really cheap (way less than buying the remaining 6 seasons separately), so I grabbed it.

Now in my library (iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV 4K), I have:

My original separate Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3 entries

AND a brand new entry that just says “Season 1” but contains every single episode of the entire show (all 210+) in one massive ungrouped list.

It’s the same story with a couple of other shows I’ve done this with – looks awful and is a pain to scroll through.

I know the proper way is to hide the individual seasons.

Is there any current iOS or tvOS trick to hide the old seasons, or force everything to merge properly into the box set with proper season groupings?

Failing that, can Apple Support hide them for me if I ring/chat?

Running the latest iOS 26.1 beta and tvOS 26.1 on everything.

Cheers!
