iCal searches no longer working

Since the last update (MacOS 26.1) for iPad, iPhone, iMac, MacBook Pro, I am unable to search my iCal. I've tried all the info out there, I think. No results or very partial results when using my last name. Any help?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 26.1

This issue is a known bug on iOS-26 . . . . and in safari with google as search, ask "does iOS-26 calendar have a bug" and the AI produces a long discussion, some which may be helpful (but be cautious).

Also, ask siri and see whether the answer comes: " find xxxxx in calendar" on your iPhone.

on my MacStudio and OS-26.1, my calendar search works fine. My events for next month come up. No issue. However google AI has a rather negative report which on my experience appears suspect, inaccurate if not false.

I have no issues with searching Calendar using iOS 26.1. I get results going back to 2010 when I search.

Remember that AIs are designed to give you the answer they think will keep you the most engaged, even if it's not entirely accurate. When I asked ChatGPT, "Is iOS Calendar a good app?" in a full page long answer, it had one not that there have been some reports on Reddit that some people have had search issues.
