iTunes error 4007: Cloud Music Library cannot be updated

I am suddenly getting iTunes error 4007: The Cloud Music Library can't be updated right now. Un known error occurred (4007). I have a fast internet connection.


I cannot synch my music library or playlists across devices. Can add music to my MacBook, but cannot sync those to the cloud and other devices.


What else could be causing this? I just moved and have updated my credit cards associated with my apple account. Could that be it? Does it take time to filter through the system? I have signed out, shut down systems, and logged back in since making the changes...


Look forward to other thoughts and things to check.

I tried running a sync again this morning and it still error'd out with 4007. My Mac is connected with ethernet, so I decided to try syncing again but this time hotspotting from my phone and it went through. But, I did get a bunch of iCloud duplicates showing up and Matched items that were greyed out... the same songs but with different times. Obviously, a new version in the store. I will try later this week to see if my ethernet connection begins to work again. I have been a Match subscriber since it launched in 2011 and have never seen this error resolved by having to hotspot.

Once I was finally able to complete a Cloud sync I had numerous duplicates of either previously Matched songs or some greyed out and labelled as "Waiting". I deleted all these duplicates and where I had an option to re-download a Matched version (signified by a download arrow), I did. I have not had a problem since. My understanding is that the Music store has a new version of the song that requires matching.

Three days have passed, and nothing has been resolved. I don't encounter any 4007 or 4010 errors (not even a 9097 error), but the library syncing process is extremely slow. Once it finally stops, there are numerous duplicate songs in my previously matched tracks.


The assistance provided is inadequate, as they can only guide you through basic procedures such as signing out and disabling sync.


Is there any Apple manager here who can confirm a server-side issue and provide an update on the resolution?
