Dolby Vision playback issues after iPadOS 26 and macOS 26 updates

After updating my iPad Pro (M2) and MacBook Air (M2) to iPadOS 26 and macOS 26 respectively, I’ve noticed that Dolby Vision playback no longer works properly.

Videos that previously displayed in Dolby Vision now either play in SDR or show incorrect color tones (washed out or overly dark). This issue appears across several apps including apple tv, jio hotstar, netflix, youtube and even local file playback using players like infuse that previously supported Dolby Vision until ipados 18.7.

I have updated this issue to apple care and they are working on it. Has anyone else faced this issue after the iPadOS 26 or macOS 26 updates? Is there a confirmed bug or workaround from Apple so far? Any suggestions to restore proper Dolby Vision playback would be appreciated.
