Is a faster SSD boot drive worth it?

I'd like your opinion. I use an OWC 4TB SSD as my boot drive on my Mac Studio, with 64GB RAM and running Sequoia.

I need a bigger drive. I'd like either the 8TB OWC SSD's, either the $1000 model which is rated at 40GB/s or the $1300 model rated at 80GB/s.

Question: With my rig, would the difference in SSD speeds be noticeable, or would the Studio unit itself limit the speed?

Thanks for advice!

¿Are you talking about a drive INSIDE the enclosure, or an external drive?

if an internal drive, you already got almost all the possible increment by using faster boot drive. any additional by going still faster is not likely worth the trouble of additional surgery.

if an External drive, the ThunderBolt Bus speed in more likely to be the limiting factor.
