iMac Startup with no bluetooth

I might have turned off bluetooth on mac keyboard and mouse last time I shut down and now it isn't connecting to either. Last response on this topic (that I found) was in 2016--nine years ago. Is it possible to enable my mouse and keyboard? I've restarted mac twice and still no success. :(

If you have the older AA battery powered keyboard and mouse..?

Dig out, borrow or buy an inexpensive USB keyboard and mouse to use for login.

Then use the USB ones to turn on the Bluetooth and reconnect your wireless keyboard and mouse.

If you have the newer rechargeable keyboard and mouse..?

Connect those directly to the Mac using the supplied USB Charging cables.
