TV refuses to connect to wifi after wifi password changed

After resetting my wifi password my Apple TV was the only device on my network that absolutely refused to reconnect.

I have a Ubiquiti network and the Apple TV connects to my only broadcasting AP on my only wifi network at this location. The TV connects using wifi 6 on the 5GHz band. Security protocol is WPA2/WPA3.

When I navigated to network settings the TV said "not connected". When I pulled up the list of nearby networks my network was there but when I attempted to connect it would just say "could not connect" or something of that nature.

I ultimately had to reset my Apple TV and set it up from scratch to get it to reconnect but here are the troubleshooting steps I tried:

  1. Restarting TV from settings
  2. Restarting TV by completely unplugging for 10 seconds
  3. Restarting my router/AP
  4. Adding the network manually on the TV
  5. Removing the client entirely from UniFi
  6. Changing security protocol to WPA3
  7. Registering the MAC address directly on UniFi

None of this made any difference. There wasn't an issue after I reset the TV and setup with my iPhone but was pretty frustrating for the usual seamless Apple experience to flounder on something as simple as a wifi password change. Possibly a bug?
