M4 mac mini running tahoe wont mount USB's
I have tried all the solutions suggested including a complete reinstall of tahoe but it will not mount the external drive (even brand new ones) I get an error 69842 and it wont mount after erase message.

Mounting a Drive:
When you encounter the -69842 error, ensure you got the Read & Write permissions to do so. Try doing this as an Administrator. Another thought would be to restart your Mac and reconnect the disk. Also, boot up in Recovery Mode, and see if you can do so, using Disk Utility.
Go to disk utilities and see if the drive shows up. If so then run first aid on the drive.
