Problem with setting up my new MacBook – stuck on Apple ID configuration for over 26 hours

Hi,

I’m setting up my new MacBook and it’s been stuck on the Apple ID configuration screen for over 26 hours. It keeps showing the spinning animation (“Setting up your Apple ID”), but there’s no visible progress.

I’m transferring data from my iPhone and iCloud (I only have 2 GB of iCloud storage). It seems like something got stuck — should I restart the setup process, or should I keep waiting? How long does this usually take?
