Share and Control my Mac mini from my iPad.

I used to be able to share the screen and control my headless Mac mini ‘server’ from my iPad. Then Screen Sharing arrived. I can only remote in from another Mac (Studio or MBAir). What happened to remotely logging into a Mac from an iPad?

Mac’s and iPads are running 26.1

Screen Sharing will let me login to another Mac across the continent, but I cannot login with an iPad even on the same network.
